Australia Announces A$245 Million Investment in Advanced Manufacturing Capability

On 21 October, the Australian Government announced a A$245 million National Reconstruction Fund investment for an advanced manufacturing facility at the Henderson Defence Precinct, designed to support modular production of eight Landing Craft Heavy vessels by 2038. The investment targets industrial and defence manufacturing rather than a separately priced software contract; technology firms and manufacturers can explore secure data systems, production analytics and engineering simulations, with HPC providing computing infrastructure and technology-planning support priced according to project scope.
