Ghana Secures US$270 Million Poultry Investment to Expand Local Production

On 22 October, Agrium Capital and Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy programme signed an agreement advancing a US$270 million investment intended to build an integrated poultry industry and reduce reliance on imported chicken. The programme is expected to help address a reported US$400 million annual poultry-import bill and target 20,000 tonnes of processed broiler output in its first phase; the amount is an announced investment programme value, not a confirmed supply contract, and HPC can support inventory planning, supplier analytics and logistics optimisation.
